Alexandre Tavadian has more than twenty-five years of experience in international law, dispute resolution, and the law of international organizations. He most recently served as General Counsel of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), advising senior leadership and NATO Member Nations on complex legal, institutional, and dispute-related matters.
Prior to joining NSPA, he held legal positions with the United Nations, UNHCR, and the Government of Canada. His work encompassed public international law, international administrative law, institutional governance, employment law, and public administration, as well as extensive litigation experience, having acted as counsel in more than 600 cases.
Over the course of his career, he has lived and worked in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, providing legal advice within diverse legal systems and multicultural environments.
Today, Alexandre draws on this international experience to advise clients on complex legal matters and to serve as arbitrator and counsel in international disputes.
In addition to his advisory and advocacy experience, Alexandre has served as Chair and member of several international administrative tribunals and appeals boards, adjudicating disputes arising within international organizations. These appointments have given him substantial experience in independently determining complex disputes, assessing evidence, ensuring procedural fairness, and making reasoned decisions.
